The Student Union election of the Federal Polytechnic Offa slated to hold between 6th and 7th December 2019 has been deferred to Thursday 12th and 13th December 2019.
The postponement was propelled to mourn the demise of three of their ex-students who lost their lives on transit along Mokwa Road, Niger state to serve their fathers’ land in NYSC orientation camp in Katsina state.
According to the school Public Relations Officer, Iroye Olayinka, the mourning was said to commence on Wednesday 4th and ends on Friday 6th December 2019, with prayers for the deceased by both Muslims and Christians at the Mosque and Chapel of Grace, mini campus.
The Management apologized for the inconveniences the postponement might have caused the students and also prays for the repose of the souls of the deceased whose lives were cut short in their prime.
He further prayed against the reoccurrence of such incidence in the history of the Polytechnic.
