BREAKING: 13 Dead As Nigeria’s Coronavirus Cases Rise To 442

No fewer than 13 deaths have been recorded in Nigeria from the novel coronavirus which has spread to 19 states in the country.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, which made this known on Thursday, also said 35 new confirmed cases were recorded in the country.

The new cases, the NCDC said, have brought the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 442.

The centre made the announcement on its Twitter handle at 10.20 pm.

It also announced that no fewer than 152 patients have been discharged in the country.

The NCDC said, “35 new cases of #COVID-19 have been reported – 19 in Lagos, 9 in FCT, 5 in Kano and 2 in Oyo

“There are 19 states with confirmed cases in Nigeria.

“As of 10:20 pm on the 16th of April, there are 442 confirmed cases, 152 discharged and 13 deaths.
