BREAKING: INEC Declares Gboyegba Winner of OSUN Governor Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared Alhaji Gboyegba Oyeyola of the All Progressives Congress as the winner of OSUN state governorship election.

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, FUTA, Akure and Returning Officer for the election, Prof. Joseph Fuwape, said he had satisfied the requirement of the law by polling the highest lawful votes in the election.

Gboyegba had either polled 254,345 while Senator Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party who scored 254,698 votes in the Saturday September 22 poll.

Adeleke scored 325 in the Thursday Suplementry election which in total polled 255,023 votes and Gboyegba of APC scored 1,160 in Suplementry making him scored higher with total of 255,505 votes.

The rerun election came up in 1 unit in Osogbo, 7 unit in Orolu, 2 unit in Ife South and 1 unit in Ife North.
