BREAKING: Nigeria Records 150 COVID-19 Death, Total Cases Now 4,641

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control has confirmed 242 new COVID-19 cases in Nigeria to 4,641.

This was announced on its twitter page account on Sunday, 11th May, 2020.

It tweeted that, “242 new cases of #COVID19; 88-Lagos, 64-Kano, 49-Katsina, 13-Kaduna, 9-Ogun.

While 6 were recorded inGombe, 4-Adamawa, 3-FCT, One each were recorded in Ondo, Oyo, Rivers, Zamfara, Borno and Bauchi.

According to the NCDC it disclosed to have Discharged: 902 and recorded Deaths: 150.

However the agency disclosed that, On the 10th of April 2020 erroneously announced 2 new deaths in Nasarawa whereas it was 1 death.

At the same time NCDC apologised to the State Government for the error, saying it will remain committed to providing accurate data.

Nevertheless, “to prevent the spread of #COVID19, we all MUST play our part”

“Do not discriminate against people who are infected or recovered; doing so affects our ability to identify and treat people who need care, NCDC said.
