BREAKING: Nigeria Records 182 New Cases Of COVID-19, Total Now 8,915

Despite efforts made by authorities to flatten the curve of the pandemic, COVID-19 cases in Nigeria increased further on Thursday with 182 cases reported by the country.

The new cases were confirmed by the specialist agency, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Twitter.

This takes the country’s total infections to 8,915 out of which 2,592 have been discharged with 259 losing their lives.

Data from the NCDC showed that the 5 new coronavirus-related deaths were recorded in the country, making the total number of fatalities rise to 259.

Also, the Nigeria recorded 91 recoveries today, total now 2,592.

It tweeted “182 new cases of COVID-19, Lagos -111; FCT – 16; Akwa Ibom – 10; Oyo – eight; Kaduna – six; Delta – six; Rivers – five; Ogun – four; Ebonyi – four; Kano – three; Plateau – two; Gombe – two; Kebbi – one; Kwara – two; Bauchi – one; Borno – one.”
