Lagos Reopens Religious Centers, Gives Guidelines

Lagos State Governor Sanwo-Olu on Thursday directed religious centres to reopen; forbidden children below age 15.

The state government also has ordered civil servants from Grade Level 13 to resume work effective , June 8.

He however restricted the gatherings to just Fridays and Sundays service.

He disclosed this at the press briefing on Thursday at the Government House, Marina.

He added that Muslim services to resume on 19th June while Christian worship begins on the 21st of June, 2020.
Children below age 15 not allowed. Religious gatherings are restricted to Fridays and Sundays only.

Reeling out some guidelines Sanwo-Olu warned that all religious centres (churches and mosques) must be 40% of the venue’s capacity.

He added that No hugging, handshakes, serving of food e.g. the holy communion etc in any religious centre.
