Adeboye Akin, Osogbo
A chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, Prince Saka Oyedeji Mabro has lauded the verdict of the Osun Election Tribunal, which declared party’s candidate, Ademola Adeleke as the winner of the September 22 gubernatorial election in the state.
Oyedeji, while speaking with newsmen in Osogbo, the Osun State capital on Friday said he had the premonition that the verdict of the Tribunal would favour his party, the PDP.
He opined that the victory was a good omen for democracy in Nigeria, adding that Nigerian judiciary has proven itself to be truly independent and vibrant.
The former APC stalwart however described the ruling party as a party of deception and monumental fraud, which according to him must be resisted by Nigerians.
“This is exactly what I saw that made me to dump the ruling APC immediately after the governorship election in the state, I told everybody that cares to listen back then that the stolen mandate would not stand the test of time.
“I am now happy that truth eventually prevailed over falsehood and fraud, it is going to be a total victory for my party in this state and at the federal level.
” I hereby urge our Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubarkar to be resolute and pursue its mandate with utmost vigour, I so much believe that there is light after the tunnel”, he said.
Oyedeji however called on PDP members in the state to be magnanimous in victory and join hands in making substantial difference the art of governance.
