“I don’t know when we will change in this country, someone who supposes to help the citizen is also extorting them in the name of the business. How can the government curtail the virus when citizens cannot avoid buying hand sanitizer and nose cover to protect ourselves.” Abdulafeez added.

While reacting to the allegation, the Media Assistant to the Special Adviser to the governor, Wale Okiki didn’t deny the owner of the store. he said, he “is no longer in charge of the company. He ceased to be the Managing Director/Chairman even before he was sworn in as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Public Health.”

“As a politician, he is no longer involved in the day to day runnings of AKOL Pharmaceuticals. Dr Olamiju is now seriously preoccupied with State affairs particularly Public Health matters of the State.

“It is important to also note that, the Special Adviser on Public Health has never visited AKOL Pharmacy or any of its branches in the last three months as he has been preoccupied with how to prevent the deadly Lassa Fever and Coronavirus in Osun”. Wale added.
