Sultan of Sokoto Commissions Fountain Varsity Ultramodern Mosque

THE Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammadu Abubakar on Thursday commissioned Fountain University’s ultra-modern mosque in Osogbo.

The mosque which is situated at the school premises was donated by Dr Awa Ibraheem 5 years ago.

Sultan, while speaking, reiterated the benefits of building a Mosque, according to him, “mosque is the best of all places”, he furthered, that Mosque is more blessed and virtuous than all other places.

“ I will enjoy the Muslims to strive well in seeking Allah’s blessings, there are thousand and one gates to seek Allah’s blessing and one of the ways is to build the house of Allah”, the Muslims leader said.

Speaking at the commissioning of the mosque, Professor Amidu Sanni, thanked the facilitator of the project, the Registrar, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Ishaq Oloyede who convinced the donor to build the mosque.
He lauded the donor for building an ultra modern mosque which according to him will not only be used for prayers but, also to serve other purposes that will be of benefit to humanity.

The philanthropist, Dr Awa disclosed that he is proud and fulfilled that the mosque was donated by him knowing the benefit of building a place of worship for God.
Speaking, he said, “ I don’t know the amount of reward Allah will give for this, but I thank Him for giving me the prefulidged to construct the best of all places (mosque).”

Prof. Oloyede while delivering his lecture urged well-heeled Nigeria especially Muslim faithful to spend their money in the way of God.

In his word, The JAMB boss, said, “Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him likewise in Paradise. And that Whoever builds a mosque seeks Allah’s pleasure.”

Among the dignitaries present at the commissioning was the Executive Governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola, his Deputy Chief of Staff, Abdullahi Binuyo, Chairman Board of Trustee Fountain University, Alhaji Waheed Adeyinka.

Among others are Olofa of Offa, Mufutau Gbadamosi, Oluwo of Iwo, Abdulrasheed Akanbi.
